About the role
This role owns product marketing for the part of Verda's stack a developer can pick up and deploy without ever talking to a salesperson. You'll report to our Product Marketing Lead and work closely with Product, Engineering, our AI Lab, and Growth Marketing, owning the self-serve funnel end to end: defining what activation and expansion should measure, then using that evidence to sharpen messaging and fix friction as you find it. You'll also run go-to-market for self-serve launches, measuring adoption rather than awareness.
You'll translate priority technical use cases, fine-tuning, batch inference, real-time serving and agentic workloads into narratives and campaigns developers actually respond to, build the technical content and benchmarks that earn credibility with this audience, and shape Verda's presence at developer events. Throughout, you'll bring customer, market, and competitive signal directly into roadmap conversations.
Your responsibilities
You will own positioning and messaging for Verda's platform and inference products, defining what these products promise, who they are for, and why a practitioner should choose them, validated against real developer conversations and usage evidence.
You will own the self-serve narrative from first touch through activation and expansion, working with Growth Marketing to define what the journey measures. You will use that evidence to refine messaging and targeting and to identify where the experience is creating friction.
You will own competitive intelligence for the self-serve and developer segments. You will produce teardowns, differentiation, and positioning guidance that hold up to technical scrutiny.
You will partner with Product, Engineering, and our AI Lab, bringing customer, market, and competitive signals into roadmap discussions, and translating technical capabilities into language a practitioner trusts.
You will own go-to-market for self-serve launches, coordinating across Product, Engineering, Growth, and Content, enabling internal teams ahead of release, and measuring success on adoption, not just awareness.
You will define and activate Verda's priority technical use cases, fine-tuning, batch inference, real-time serving, agentic workloads, translating them into solution narratives, use-case pages, and campaign inputs developers actually respond to.
You will develop the technical content that earns credibility with this audience, working with our AI Lab on benchmarks and deep dives, and surfacing developer proofpoints and real projects built on Verda.
You will shape how Verda shows up at developer-facing events and conferences, defining the story, technical proof points, and audience fit for each.
Your key competencies
5+ years of experience in product marketing, with at least 2 in cloud infrastructure, developer tools, AI/ML platforms, or technical PaaS
Experience building messaging frameworks and toolkits that scale across teams
Familiarity with the ML/AI engineer and platform engineer audience, what they value, and what separates a credible technical claim from marketing noise
Experience marketing products that developers evaluate, adopt, and expand on their own, without a sales conversation, including how self-serve acquisition, activation, and expansion actually work
Familiarity with growth metrics and experimentation frameworks and the technical instrumentation behind them, with the instinct to define what should be measured before deciding what to say
Hands-on technical fluency. You sign into the console, read the docs, and run the workload before you write about it. You form your own view of whether a product is good rather than relying on someone else's
Experience working directly with product and engineering teams, and comfort holding your own in a technical conversation with people who build the thing
Exceptional writing for technical audiences
Strong autonomy, a bias toward shipping and iterating over lengthy planning cycles, with the ability to work across distributed teams and time zones
Working understanding of AI infrastructure concepts: the difference between training and inference workloads, what serverless means for GPU-backed workloads, container and deployment fundamentals, and the economics of tokens, utilisation, and cold starts
Experience building competitive analysis that holds up under real scrutiny, grounded in independent verification, not just competitor claims
Technical background or training: engineering, computer science, or equivalent hands-on experience is a strong plus
