About the role
Most senior ops engineers spend their careers keeping the lights on in infrastructure someone else designed. This role is different.
We're growing fast: new data centers, new markets, new challenges and we need someone who's been in the trenches long enough to have seen what breaks, why it breaks, and how to make sure it doesn't break again. As a Senior Data Center Operations Engineer, you're not just keeping things running. You're the person others call when something goes wrong at 3am, the one who writes the procedure that gets followed, and the one who makes sure the junior technician next to you is better at their job because you were there.
You'll own the operational health of mission-critical AI infrastructure. That means leading incident response, driving reliability programs, running complex maintenance, and building the standards the rest of the team lives by. You'll be on-site, hands-on, and in charge.
What the work actually looks like
Good week: monitoring is quiet, maintenance runs to plan, and a junior tech closes their first solo ticket without needing you. You spent the afternoon improving a runbook nobody had touched in two years.
Bad week: three servers drop out of a GPU cluster at 2am, the vendor's RMA process is going nowhere, and you're deep in DCIM logs trying to understand whether this is a firmware issue or a power event — while fielding updates from engineering every 20 minutes. No committee. No escalation path above you on site. You own it, you fix it, you write the postmortem.
If that second scenario sounds like the job you actually want to do, keep reading.
What we need from you
8–12+ years in data center operations or mission-critical IT environments. Not project management, hands-on operations.
You've personally led incident response in a 24/7 environment. You know what it means to own an outage from detection to resolution to postmortem.
Deep technical fluency across server, storage, and network infrastructure. You can troubleshoot at the hardware layer, the OS layer, and the network layer and you know which one to start with.
Strong Linux fundamentals. You're comfortable in the command line when the GUI isn't an option.
Experience with high-density GPU or compute infrastructure is a plus, this is an AI cloud, and the hardware reflects it.
You've worked with DCIM, monitoring platforms, and change management tooling. You know why good documentation exists and you actually write it.
You can mentor. Junior technicians on your team get better because of you, not in spite of you.
Excellent English, written and verbal. You'll be coordinating across engineering, facilities, and vendors, often under pressure.
What you get
A senior role with real authority over incidents, procedures, standards, and the team's technical direction.
The infrastructure itself: frontier AI compute, operated at scale, in a company that's actually growing.
A small, capable team. Low hierarchy. No bureaucracy for its own sake.
The chance to build something that matters and to do it alongside people who take that seriously.
What's next
We're building fast and this role needs the right person behind it. There's no artificial deadline, but when we find who we're looking for, we move. If this sounds like your next move, apply now.
