Junior Observability Engineer, Observability Platform
Imagine a future where systems are not just running - but fully understood, measurable, and continuously improving.
At Verda, we’re building a fully featured European cloud computing platform - and observability is at the core of making that platform reliable, scalable, and performant.
We’re ambitious, curious, and pragmatic builders. We operate with low hierarchy, high ownership, and a strong bias for action. We’ve already achieved a lot, but we’re just getting started.
Now it’s your chance to join the ride. Join Verda while it’s still being built - not once it’s finished!
Your responsibilities
In this role, you will support the development and operation of our observability platform, helping ensure visibility and reliability across our systems. You will build and maintain dashboards, alerts, and visualizations that provide clear insights into system performance and behavior.
You will assist in monitoring cloud-native applications and infrastructure across Kubernetes environments, virtual machines, and backend services, while contributing to log, metrics, and tracing pipelines.
As part of the team, you will participate in on-call rotations, learning how to respond to incidents, investigate alerts, and support root cause analysis. You’ll work closely with more senior engineers to adopt best practices in observability and site reliability engineering.
You will also contribute to improving workflows through automation and AI tools, while helping document processes, dashboards, and operational practices as we scale.

Basic understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals
Familiarity with observability concepts such as metrics, logs, and alerting
Some exposure to tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or similar
