Your responsibilities
In this role, you will own and build our global People Operations function end-to-end, creating the foundations, processes, and team needed to support a rapidly scaling, international company. You will design scalable, high-quality processes across the full employee lifecycle and ensure operational excellence across multiple geographies.
You will drive the evolution of our compensation and benefits practices while taking ownership of our HR systems and People tech stack, leveraging automation and AI to improve efficiency, data quality, and decision-making.
You will ensure compliance across all operating countries, managing payroll operations and external partners, and supporting contract and policy development. At the same time, you will shape a consistent employee experience by translating policies into user-friendly solutions and acting as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.
As we expand into new markets, you will lead the setup of People Operations locally, ensuring smooth and compliant international growth.
Your key competencies
8+ years of experience in People Operations, ideally in a scaling, international (tech) environment
Strong understanding of HR operations, compliance, and the full employee lifecycle across multiple countries
Experience building or leading People Operations teams
Strong systems mindset (HRIS, data, process design) with solid Excel skills
Experience implementing HR systems and tools (e.g., HiBob)
Good understanding of compensation and benefits practices
Ability to balance detail with big-picture thinking and operate effectively in ambiguity
Pragmatic, hands-on builder who creates structure from scratch
Strong ownership mindset with accountability for outcomes
Collaborative approach, working closely with leadership, finance, and hiring teams
Nice to have
Experience with EOR/PEO setups
Familiarity with international labor laws
Experience working with AI-driven People Operations or automation
Background in fast-growing international scale-ups
Practicalities
Hybrid mode: This role requires presence in our Helsinki office 3 days per week
Employment type: Full-time and permanent
